Five Pawns Castle Long Review

Five Pawns is based out of Southern California in a town named Irvine.  They rose up like many Orange County vape manufacturers but have distinguished themselves as one of a few ultra-premium artisanal juice makers.  Whereas the ultra-low cost vendors can sell their juices under 10 bucks for a 60 ml bottle, Five Pawns markets their bottles at $27.50 on their website.

What you see is what you get however.  Everything about the brand resonates an aura of high end, high class.  From the packaging to the descriptions, to the flavors and the ingredients, first class is the only class in their eyes.

Castle Long First Look

Castle Long juice is no exception to what Five Pawns stands for.  This juice is a non barrel aged version of a fine Kentucky Bourbon with hints of toasted coconut, roasted almonds, vanilla beans from Madagascar, and topped with a sweet caramelized brown sugar to finish off the puff.  Every flavor in the profile is noticeable with each inhale or the vape device, but none are overpowering which plays into the meticulous blending of the juice.  Even the bourbon flavor is muted and mixed quite well with the nuts and beans as previously described.  The combination is rich, flavorful, and plays homage to the refinement of the vaper’s taste.  A full bodied e liquid that deserves all the accolades and attention it have garnered.

Vapor Production

Castle Long has a 50% vegetable glycerin and 50% propylene glycol blend.  With a middling amount of VG, the vapor clouds will not be as big as some other prominent brands, but the clouds will be there.  Five Pawns most likely has gone for a higher class clientele with this e juice, so the clouds may not be as big of a requirement.  These refined vapers probably just want to vape and be on their merry way without the ostentatious clouds dissipating as walk away.

Nicotine Level

Whereas most e liquid manufacturers have 0, 3, and 6 milligrams of nicotine, Five Pawns has stretched the nicotine level and included 12 and 18 milligrams.  For the more discerning vapers who need more of a nicotine hit, the 12 and 18 milligram fill that void.

Packaging

As meticulous as they are about their taste, the guys at Five Pawns took great steps to create packaging that also create an aura of class.  The logo is simple and shows five pawns from the chessboard, with one pawn being centered and shown prominently.  The lettering is bold with the juice name in calligraphy.  The container that the juice comes in is a glass bottle with an eyedropper to get the juice out of the bottle.  Although unconfirmed, Five Pawns most likely chose glass the preserve the unique flavor of the e liquid.  Plastic bottles sometimes have a faint plastic flavor to the juice if left in the bottle for too long.

Conclusion

Castle Long by Five Pawns is a fine e liquid that blends together the smooth flavor or a fine Kentucky Bourbon with a nutty and vanilla finish.  You won’t see me vaping this flavor all day, but that should not stop you.  I usually enjoy will vape it as my wind down juice after a big meal or before bed.  Nonetheless, it is a juice worth vaping even though it is a few bucks more.  It is ultra premium by the way.
